First Blog Hop!

Welcome to our Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! It's my first time doing this so I'm super excited!
This month our challenge is to use 'Retiring Items'. I've decided to use the Lemon Zest stamp set for this challenge.

Here are some of the tools I used, noticed the Lemon Builder Punch I used in the bottom right corner which is also a soon to be retired product.

You can scroll through the bottom of this blog to see and or shop all the products I used.

I started by cutting a window in the card using our trimmer and then stamping around the border with the leave stamp. The Lemon Lime Twist ink pad is still available (see my shop link below) but it will be retiring soon. The other colours, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach, have already retired.

I had a scrap piece of paper inside the card while doing this so that I don't accidentally stamp the inside of the card. I then stamped my sentiment inside.

The sentiments are stamped strategically so that the 'Happy Birthday' is hidden.

Here is the completed card:

You probably can't tell through the photo, but the centre orange and lemon have been embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a nice finish texture. I also used foam tape so that they pop out. In the inside of the card, I punched another set of lemons and oranges to stick behind the front lemons and oranges. This gives the inside of the card a nice clean finish.

This is actually a birthday card I made for hubby. I love how it's fun and cheerful just like him!
